Illinois Association of Extended Care, Inc.
The mission of IAEC is to provide a forum for its membership to share ideas, to advocate for the needs of residential extended care services and work to insure quality residential services are available for recovering individuals.
The Illinois Association of Extended Care (IAEC) was founded in 1988 and operates as a registered 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation. The purpose of IAEC is to unite residential care facilities within the State of Illinois to improve the quality of services and address issues of concerns.
The members of IAEC provide a very valuable service in the continuum of care - recovery management and recovery support services. Just as there is a difference between prevention services and treatment services, there is an equal difference between treatment services and recovery support services.
Living in recovery beyond the treatment door is not easy and some individuals need a little extra help in making the transition to living a life clean and sober. Others simply have no other place to live - they have lost everything and are starting a new life - a life of recovery that promises to give back that which addiction to alcohol and other drugs has taken away.
